Food sovereignty is the inherent right to have access to healthy and culturally sustaining foods, join us for a community dialogue to share about our cultural foods and the importance of preserving them. For the month of February, Multicultural Life is collaborating with Sustainability and Campus Kitchen to bring you a two part event, the first part will be this community dialogue, and the second part which will take place on Monday, March 6th will be a cooking session focused on the foods that remind us of home. More about our monthly dialogue series: every month, One of our five programs at our Multicultural Life Department leads an intentional conversation on a topic that is of interest to the communities we serve. While the main target audience are our students, we also invite our faculty and campus partners to join as well. We recognize that often times there are not many spaces where we can be fully authentic when engaging in critical dialogue, these monthly dialogues are a way for us to create those brave spaces for and with our communities.
