Canceled – Using Sex Toys as a Tool to Heal From Trauma

April 15, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm CDT

Join LGBTQIA+ Student Services, SMART, QPA, & QIPOC as we welcome Sarah Brynn Holliday.  Sarah Brynn Holliday is a sexuality writer, speaker, and sex toy company consultant based in Salem, Massachusetts. Sarah also identifies as a spooky femme, a queer feminist, an abortion funder, and a devotee of bread and black lipstick. Pronouns are they/them and she/her.

Please note, this workshop is geared towards students.  To recognize the power dynamic that staff and faculty hold, we want to create an intentional space for students to thrive and ask open questions, in a comfortable, brave environment.

In this workshop, attendees will engage with the following thoughts….

How can survivors reclaim pleasure after trauma? How can we use sex toys as tools for our healing journeys? How can we affirm pleasure as a human right for everyone—including survivors? Participants will learn sex toy basics, how to use sex toys to map your pleasure as a survivor, and self-care strategies. All survivors are welcome. Sarah’s work is informed by an inclusive definition of trauma that recognizes many types of traumas can affect pleasure.

Students can RSVP on Auggie Life
