Sabo Center Social Change Series: Power & Resilience in Black Communities

Join Sabo Center Staff as we commemorate Black History Month by highlighting a history of power building and resilience in Black communities in the Twin Cities.

We are inviting community leaders to bring voice to the collective story of resilience and power in historically black communities and neighborhoods in Minneapolis, St. Paul and beyond.

Our speakers are:

-Mary Taris- Founder of Strive Publishing, a local children's publishing company with a vision of connecting stories across cultures and generations.

-Dr. Bill Green- the Anita Gaye Hawthorne Professor of Critical Race and Ethnic Studies and Professor of History at Augsburg University.

-Ron Harris- Chief Resilience Officer for the City of Minneapolis.

This will be a virtual event on Thursday, February 25th from 4:30-5:45pm.
