LGBTQIA+ Student Services, Strommen Center, & Quorum Young Professionals invite you to join us for a night of networking.  

This bi-monthly event is a fun, fab, casual place for LGBTQ+ and Allied folks in their 20’s and 30’s who are starting, interested in starting, or who are growing their careers. The emphasis is on creating an energetic, vibrant atmosphere where valuable contacts can be made, ideas and opportunities can be shared, and community can be formed. Come build your networks, find opportunities to learn and grow, and help strengthen our presence in the greater business community.

March’s Topic:

Join Quorum Young Professionals at Augsburg University for a panel and discussion on “Getting Your Foot in the Door.” Whether you are about to or have recently graduated and are looking for your first job or you’re looking to make a career change this is an opportunity to share and gain knowledge from people in a similar situation as well as experts.

Let’s combat fatigue from submitting endless applications online by deploying some new strategies that will set you apart from the crowd.

What we will discuss:
1.) Alternative ways of finding open positions
2.) How to set up informational interviews to learn more about a career you’re interested in
3.) How to build and leverage relationships to set your application apart from the rest
4.) How to prepare and nail an interview and follow-up afterwards
5.) Attendee questions

Light appetizers will be provided free of charge.
