The Pre-Med Student Association is proud to announce a fundraising event celebrating International Women’s Day, dedicated to addressing the critical need for menstrual products, personal hygiene resources, and essential items for both women and men in underserved communities. Many individuals face significant challenges in accessing these basic necessities, which are vital for their health, dignity, and overall well-being.
Through this initiative, we aim to raise funds to purchase menstrual products and hygiene kits, including essential items such as toothpaste, underwear, deodorant, soap, and other personal care products. These kits will be donated to local shelters and community organizations around Augsburg University, ensuring that both women and men in need have access to the resources required to maintain their health and dignity. Our goal is to provide immediate support and raise awareness about the importance of menstrual equity, hygiene access, and the barriers many individuals face in obtaining these basic necessities.
This event also provides a valuable volunteering opportunity for individuals who want to contribute their time and effort to this meaningful cause.
