First-Generation Week Kick-Off

November 8 was selected as the date for the annual National First-Generation College Celebration to honor the anniversary of the signing of the Higher Education Act (HEA) of 1965. The HEA was passed to ensure that everyone has access to higher education, regardless of income. In recognition of First-Generation College Celebration Day, the departments of TRIO Student Support Services, TRIO McNair Scholars, and Multicultural Life will be hosting events that highlight the first-generation college experience during the week of November 6. All are welcome to attend.
