14th Annual Torstenson Lecture

Augsburg Sociology Alumni Maria BelĂ©n Power will be the speaker at the 14th Annual Torstenson Lecture. She is the Associate Executive Director of GreenRoots, Inc. in Boston, Massachusetts. Drawing on her experience as a community organizer, she will talk about “Understanding Environmental Justice: What Do Race and Class Have to Do with It?” This year’s Torstenson Lecture is held in conjunction with the celebration of the Sociology Department’s 75th Anniversary and the Urban Studies Program’s 50th Anniversary. The lecture will be held in OGC114, and will be followed by All School Reunion events.
