DESCRIPTION:Come Zoom with the E-learning Team as they offer two 60-minute sessions each week on how to maximize your use of Moodle and learning technologies as you get ready for classes this Fall. Each session will open with 15-minutes of “pertinent tips & best practices” about important Moodle features/resources. The final 45 minutes will provide training on a specific learning experience or tool.  \nTuesday\, 6/23 at 10–Templates & New Modalities: With all of the changes currently in the works\, now might be a good time to think about reworking your Moodle courses to take advantage of some of the new design features available. The first 15-20 minutes will introduce you to some new Moodle template options including a Grid format. The rest of the hour will offer a deeper dive into the new Live and Online Modalities and provide time for Q&A.

The first 15 minutes will focus on tips for designing well. The rest of the session focuses on strategies for making the most of your synchronous Zoom sessions for those who are choosing the “Live Remote” modality option.

DESCRIPTION:Come Zoom with the E-learning Team as they offer two 60-minute sessions each week on how to maximize your use of Moodle and learning technologies as you get ready for classes this Fall. Each session will open with 15-minutes of “pertinent tips & best practices” about important Moodle features/resources. The final 45 minutes will provide training on a specific learning experience or tool.  \nThe Moodle “Lesson” & Online Quizzing: Too often online content can be “text-heavy” and yawn-inducing. The first 15 minutes will focus on the Moodle “Lesson\,” a graded activity used to build structured pathways through various learning materials (text\, images\, videos) while testing students’ comprehension. Auto-graded quizzes are also an effective way to engage students and confirm their understanding of online content. The rest of the hour will address how to create a quiz–specifically–how to create a syllabus quiz and methods for ensuring academic integrity.

The first 15 minutes will review these tools. The rest of the hour will focus on methods for engaging students in active learning in Zoom as well as learning strategies and tools for making asynchronous\, online learning interactive.
