SUMMARY:MPCC Day at the Capitol
DESCRIPTION:All Minnesota State Grant recipients are invited to join us on March 10 for Day at the Capitol 2026! Meet with your legislators at the State Capitol in St. Paul to ask policymakers to support low- and middle-income college students. \nDuring Day at the Capitol\, you’ll join students from Augsburg and other Minnesota private colleges for advocacy and lobbying training. Then you’ll meet with your state legislators\, have lunch at the Capitol\, and attend a Q&A session with public policy experts and policymakers. The Minnesota Private College Council will provide everything you need to be a successful advocate.

SUMMARY:Summit at the Capitol with the Young Adult Coalition & ISAIAH
DESCRIPTION:Our goal is to shape the conversation at the MN State Capitol and win a downpayment on our future. Through a collective effort from young people\, we have organized a Young Adult summit at the state capitol on climate action and funding the downpayment on our future. There is a more than a $9 billion surplus in Minnesota\, which could fund a future where we address the climate crisis\, invest in paid family leave\, and provide the education we deserve. As part of this summit\, we will be organizing a series of workshops that we believe can spark further conversation and activism. These workshops range from policing and public safety\, transportation and its effects on the environment\, to education reform. Take to train with LEAD Fellows and Augsburg’s Organizing Cohort to join youth and youth adults from across the state.
