DESCRIPTION:We are back again this year to gather around a bonfire to find unity in community. We bring our bodies\, minds\, and spirits together in poetry to listen to Mother Earth and to honor our home. Our hearts are on fire for justice that is rooted in healing our planet. The collective struggle for liberation depends on how we treat one another and our environment. SUMMARY:AISA Medicine Garden Plot
DESCRIPTION:Come join AISA and the Augsburg community as we have a ceremonial blessing for our AISA medicine garden plot. This blessing is protocol before we transplant any plant medicines into the Earth. Ojibwe elder\, Noodinesiikwe (Hope Flanagan) will be leading us in prayer. We will also have the Little Earth singers offer songs\, and jingle dress dancers offering dances. Anishinaabe people use the jingle dress for the healing medicine that it brings. There will be traditional teachings about plant medicines\, our relationship to the plant beings\, teachings about the drum\, and jingle dress teachings. All are welcomed and encouraged to join us!
