DESCRIPTION:The events will be surrounding Black History Month and\, in that\, we would like to advocate for self-love\, self- appreciation and self-recognition for our participants. During this event we will discuss how historical dehumanization\, oppression\, and violence against Black and African American people has evolved into present day racism – structural\, institutional\, and individual – and cultivates a uniquely mistrustful and less affluent community experience\, characterized by disparities including inadequate access to and delivery of care in the health system. ESA would like to provide a space for women of color and everyone that would like to participate where we could all come together to reflect on our mental health.
