However\, with this new international reach\, comes responsibility for simultaneously caring for both our local communities and for others on the planet impacted by our actions or decisions. Given these new realities\, how do we ensure our practices and solutions meet increasingly complex challenges at the local and planetary levels? \nLearning Outcomes\n\nCommunications policies and practices that satisfy individual interests while keeping in mind the needs of current and future generations – here and everywhere\nTeam member training approaches to developing simultaneously local and global thinking/action\nFeedback mechanism to involve the broader community in this “balancing” process\n\nSPECIAL MESSAGE: This presentation was originally scheduled as one of our Diversity Insights Breakfasts\, which are in-person events designed around networking\, a plated breakfast and a professional presentation including participatory table work. We usually charge for these in-person events to help off-set the cost of hosting them. The original ticket price for this event was going to be $45. However\, due to COVID-19\, the in-person portion of this event – like most all in-person events – has had to be re-imagined. And the show must go on.\nThe work we do – the space we operate in – does not stop simply because we’re working differently. So we have decided to move this event online\, and make the event free. But it still costs time\, resources\, and money to host the event. So while the event is free\, we’re asking anyone who is willing or able to\, to make a suggested donation of $30. While the suggested donation is $30\, we ask that you give whatever you think this presentation and the mission of The Forum is worth. Whether less than or more than\, it’s up to you! DESCRIPTION:Come Zoom with the E-learning Team as they offer two 60-minute sessions each week on how to maximize your use of Moodle and learning technologies as you get ready for classes this Fall. Each session will open with 15-minutes of “pertinent tips & best practices” about important Moodle features/resources. The final 45 minutes will provide training on a specific learning experience or tool.  \nTuesday\, 6/23 at 10–Templates & New Modalities: With all of the changes currently in the works\, now might be a good time to think about reworking your Moodle courses to take advantage of some of the new design features available. The first 15-20 minutes will introduce you to some new Moodle template options including a Grid format. The rest of the hour will offer a deeper dive into the new Live and Online Modalities and provide time for Q&A.

DESCRIPTION:In partnership with M Health Fairview\, Pillsbury United Communities\, and the Brian Coyle Center\, we invite you to join us for a Supply Drive for the Cedar Riverside Community. \nWhen: \nTuesday\, August 4 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. \nWhere: \nParking Lot L at the intersection of Riverside Avenue and 25th Ave S which is immediately east of the Edor Nelson Field and Dome; Augsburg University\, 2211 Riverside Avenue\, Minneapolis\, MN 55454. \nNote – if you are not able to drop items at Augsburg on August 4th\, M Health Fairview is collecting donations from July 27 to August 7\, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM\, at two locations: Smiley’s Clinic (2020 E. 28th Street\, Minneapolis\, MN 55407) and their Midway Campus (1700 University Ave. W.\, St. Paul\, MN 55104). \nDonate: \nWe are collecting new\, unopened household supplies and personal care items.  We encourage you to purchase items from locally owned businesses\, if possible.  Donations will be transported to the Brian Coyle Center\, one of the Pillsbury United Communities sites\, for distribution. \nThese are the most needed supplies: \n\nDiapers\nBaby wipes\nPaper towels\nTrash bags\nToilet paper\nLaundry soap\nDish Soap\nBar soap\nDeodorant\nRazors\nHousehold cleaning supplies\nFacemasks (homemade face coverings welcome)\nBottled water\nHand sanitizer\nTote bags and paper bags with handles\n\nWe reserve the right to decline donated items if they are not needed or if we are unable to distribute them.
