DESCRIPTION:This Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program workshop makes use of the Intercultural Conflict Style (ICS) Inventory\, which describes an individual’s preferred approach or style for resolving conflict by reflecting the individual’s culturally learned patterns for dealing with disagreements and expressing emotions. Additionally\, this workshop will not only teach individuals about their own preferred approach and style\, but also about the preferred approaches and styles of others. Finally\, this workshop will give participants tangible skills that can be used when navigating communication and conflict across cultural differences. DESCRIPTION:Join us for Day at the Capitol 2023 where you can advocate for increased funding for education. Your legislators need to hear from you about the Minnesota State Grant program and other causes that are important to you. \nWhat happens at Day at the Capitol? \nYou’ll attend a Minnesota State Grant advocacy and lobbying training with student advocates from Augsburg and other Minnesota private colleges. Then you’ll meet with legislators (we’ll make appointments for you in advance) and have lunch at the Capitol. The Minnesota Private College Council will host a Q&A session with public policy experts and policymakers and will provide everything you need to be a successful advocate. \nThe group from Augsburg will take the light rail to and from the Capitol together. There will also be an optional pizza night on Tuesday\, February 28 to meet other advocates from Augsburg and get ready for your day of civic engagement. \nRegister by visiting the Minnesota Private College Council website: https://www.mnprivatecolleges.org/news-events/events/day-capitol \nHave questions or need help?
