DESCRIPTION:Our goal is to shape the conversation at the MN State Capitol and win a downpayment on our future. Through a collective effort from young people\, we have organized a Young Adult summit at the state capitol on climate action and funding the downpayment on our future. There is a more than a $9 billion surplus in Minnesota\, which could fund a future where we address the climate crisis\, invest in paid family leave\, and provide the education we deserve. As part of this summit\, we will be organizing a series of workshops that we believe can spark further conversation and activism. These workshops range from policing and public safety\, transportation and its effects on the environment\, to education reform.
