SUMMARY:Trans Day of Remembrance Chapel
DESCRIPTION:Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is on Monday\, November 20. TDOR follows Transgender Awareness Week (Nov. 13-19) and is an annual observance and honoring of the trans community members whose lives we have lost.  \nThis year\, LGBTQIA+ Student Services would like to offer you an open invitation to join us for our TDOR services. We will be at Daily Chapel from 10:40 AM – 11:00 AM for a short presentation on the history of TDOR and a brief reflection from the LGBTQIA+ Student Services Program Manager. Later in the day\, we will be hosting our annual TDOR Vigil from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM in the Marshall Room.  \nThe campus community is welcome to attend either Daily Chapel\, the vigil\, or both to share space and honor our trans community members. The presence and support of allies is appreciated in the space but we humbly ask that non-trans/non-queer folks be mindful of which bodies and voices are prioritized in these spaces.  \nAs part of the TDOR vigil\, trans students are welcome and encouraged to share their voices by offering words or reflections if they are comfortable and willing. For more information\, please reach out to the LGBTQIA+ Student Services Program Manager at crowellt@augsburg.edu if you are interested in participating.  \nWe hope to have you share these spaces with us on Monday\, November 20.

SUMMARY:A Cappella Concert: Kaleidoscope Quartet sings Jonquil
DESCRIPTION:The kaleidoscope turns to jonquil-the color of sunshine. Join Kaleidoscope Quartet for our fourth flagship concert\, featuring a fresh program of music rooted in joy\, warmth\, and resilience\, while still making room for life’s more complicated moments. The group includes ’75 alum Dana Skoglund\, who will be retiring from the quartet after this year. \nWe’re doing a Saturday afternoon performance in the the resonant acoustics and traditional theater seating of Sateren Auditorium on the Augsburg University campus. The program runs about 90 minutes with an intermission. \nAugsburg students get in free. So do youth 17 and under. \nPre-purchase tickets for a lower price than at the door.
