SUMMARY:Canceled - Using Sex Toys as a Tool to Heal From Trauma
DESCRIPTION:Join LGBTQIA+ Student Services\, SMART\, QPA\, & QIPOC as we welcome Sarah Brynn Holliday.  Sarah Brynn Holliday is a sexuality writer\, speaker\, and sex toy company consultant based in Salem\, Massachusetts. Sarah also identifies as a spooky femme\, a queer feminist\, an abortion funder\, and a devotee of bread and black lipstick. How can we use sex toys as tools for our healing journeys? How can we affirm pleasure as a human right for everyone—including survivors? Participants will learn sex toy basics\, how to use sex toys to map your pleasure as a survivor\, and self-care strategies. All survivors are welcome. Sarah’s work is informed by an inclusive definition of trauma that recognizes many types of traumas can affect pleasure.   \nStudents can RSVP on Auggie Life

SUMMARY:Queering Career: Navigating Respectability Politics - Zoom Event
DESCRIPTION:Join LGBTQIA+ Student Services & Strommen Center for our final Queering Career event of Spring 2020. \nWe will be hosting Mossier to facilitate a conversation around respectability politics and the world of career.  As a world dominated by cisgender and straight supervisors and organizations\, there’s little to no visibility of LGBTQIA+ communities and their needs\, as they can differ from privileged communities.  This workshop will create space for audience members to dialogue questions\, like: \n \nWhat intersectional LGBTQ+ inclusive competencies do you hope an employer would have?  \nWhich intersectional LGBTQ+ inclusive competencies do you anticipate employers actually having?  \n \nYou deserve to not only get a career\, but feel seen\, valid\, and embodied in all your identities as an employee.  \nThis will be a casual event via Zoom.   Please RSVP on Auggie Life \nLearn more about Mossier\, and their Job Seekers page\, here. \n────────── \nMax Poessnecker is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting. \nJoin Zoom Meetinghttps://augsburg.zoom.us/j/7746094640 \nMeeting ID: 774 609 4640 \nOne tap mobile+13126266799\,\,7746094640# US (Chicago)+16465588656\,\,7746094640# US (New York) \nDial by your location +1 312 626 6799 US (Chicago) +1 646 558 8656 US (New York) +1 253 215 8782 US +1 301 715 8592 US +1 346 248 7799 US (Houston) +1 669 900 6833 US (San Jose)Meeting ID: 774 609 4640Find your local number: https://augsburg.zoom.us/u/ab35s4pKf8 \n──────────
