DESCRIPTION:This Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program workshop has a hybrid\, e-learning group format that provides participants with an introduction to understanding and responding to unconscious bias during workplace interactions and in workplace settings. Relevant to faculty and staff of all levels\, participation in this workshop can positively impact all aspects of Augsburg University. Additionally\, this workshop explores the hidden and pervasive nature of unconscious bias. DESCRIPTION:Register here for zoom event. \nJoin AWE\, a council of alumnae\, and valued Augsburg campus and community partners\, for a virtual viewing of “A Breath for George” by Austene Van. This groundbreaking film honors the life and death of George Floyd as well as explores the larger issues of police brutality\, systemic racism\, and anti-Black racism. The film uplifts the voices of Minnesotan artists\, scholars\, and community members who have been historically and negatively impacted by these injustices\, through a collection of interviews\, music\, and poetry. \nImmediately following the viewing\, there will be a 30-minute discussion with the following esteemed guests: \n\nAustene Van\, the filmmaker and Artistic Director of New Dawn Theatre\nJoanne K.
