This second installment of her Growing Pains series includes a video installation and paintings centered around the color red (anger and wisdom) that encourage an open dialogue about hurt and healing\, offering space to express emotions and begin breaking the cycle of pain. \n \nMOHAMED HERSI \nTides of Tribulations: A Journey Through Solace | Christensen Gallery \nThrough a series of large scale paintings\, Hersi explores emotional states of being that shape both the present moments and fleeting memories of our human experience. From joy and hope to confusion and grief\, Hersi uses portraiture\, landscape\, and abstraction to reflect on what we currently hold and embrace\, and what we will perhaps always be sifting through.
