SUMMARY:Fundraiser for Menstrual Health & Hygiene in Honor of Women’s Day
DESCRIPTION:The Pre-Med Student Association is proud to announce a fundraising event celebrating International Women’s Day\, dedicated to addressing the critical need for menstrual products\, personal hygiene resources\, and essential items for both women and men in underserved communities. Many individuals face significant challenges in accessing these basic necessities\, which are vital for their health\, dignity\, and overall well-being.\nThrough this initiative\, we aim to raise funds to purchase menstrual products and hygiene kits\, including essential items such as toothpaste\, underwear\, deodorant\, soap\, and other personal care products. These kits will be donated to local shelters and community organizations around Augsburg University\, ensuring that both women and men in need have access to the resources required to maintain their health and dignity. Our goal is to provide immediate support and raise awareness about the importance of menstrual equity\, hygiene access\, and the barriers many individuals face in obtaining these basic necessities.\nThis event also provides a valuable volunteering opportunity for individuals who want to contribute their time and effort to this meaningful cause. Volunteers can assist with organizing the fundraiser\, assembling hygiene kits\, and distributing donations to local shelters. By participating\, you will directly impact the lives of individuals in need and help to create a more equitable and compassionate community.\nBy contributing to this cause\, whether through donations or volunteering\, you are helping to empower women and men\, promote health\, and foster a sense of dignity and equality. Together\, we can make a meaningful impact in the lives of those in our community and honor the spirit of International Women’s Day. Join us in this effort to create a brighter\, more equitable future for all. Let’s come together to ensure that everyone has access to the essentials they need to thrive.\nHosted by: Augsburg Pre-Med Student Association\nAdditional Information can be found at: https://augsburg.campuslabs.com/engage/event/11157128
